The Florida Trail Riders is a registered, non-profit Florida corporation over 34 years old with 2500 plus members throughout the state.
The purpose of FTR is to promote the image of "Responsible Motorcyclists"; to sanction, schedule, assist and monitor off road motorcycle events in Florida; to establish policies, rules and procedures to be followed by promoters, with the end result being a series of organized events; to sponsor and support positive motorcycle legislation; and to establish and maintain good rapport with private land owners, local, state and federal land management agencies.

Besides having fun, one of our main objectives is to help maintain and preserve private, public riding, and multi-use trails in local, state and national forests, so that they may be accessible to all equestrian activities! The general purpose of the STA shall be to promote and develop public equestrian trails and related facilities throughout the southern United States; to promote an active interest in equestrian trailriding by others; to facilitate legislation, rules, ordinances, and policies which are consistent with the promotion of equestrian trails; to encourage the compatibility of equestrian trails with natural resource conservation; to educate the general public relative to equestrian recreational activities; and to enjoy trailriding.
